Aquatic Insect Collection
The following equipment is helpful in catching insects. The green net can recover flying insects and the gray net placed in the stream collects drifting insects. The stomach pump can recover ingested insects from living fish. The 35 mm film canister stores the samples.

After collecting an aquatic food I go through my fly box and try to match it. Here are a few examples of succesful matches.
