Eddy Lines
Eddy lines peel off from the river’s bends, points, and island heads; they provide comfortable lies for fish to hold. Their broken surfaces conceal feeding fish. Eddies are protected lies away from the current’s scouring effects; as a result, rooted aquatic plants are able to grow and enhance the quality of insect life. Eddies provide both food and shelter for fish.
