Slip Knot

Useful knot used for search and rescue, mountaineering, climbing, boating, horse and livestock, camping, and scouting.

Uses: boating, fly tying, crocheting and knitting

Advantages: attaches to a line to an object which tightens when pressure is applied

Disadvantage: can come undone easily
