Fly fishing knot used to join together 2 sections of leader; sport fishing knot used to join together line to leader.

Materials: monofilaments, super lines, cordage

Advantages: one of the strongest knots, joins 2 lines of equal or slightly different diameters, best for lines under 25 lb. test, attaches leader to tippet
