Fly fishing knot used to attach the fly to the tippet; sport fishing knot used to attach the hook/lure to the line.

Materials: one of the best knots, monofilaments

Advantages: joins lines to terminal tackle, joins hook or swivel to the line, and fly to leader

Disadvantage: line may be too heavy to pass through hook eye twice
