Fly fishing knot used to attach the fly line to the leader; sport fishing knot used to attach the line to the leader.

Materials: monofilaments, super lines and gelspun lines, heavy lines

Advantage: holds shape well, little bulk, attaches leader butt to fly line, attaches fly line to backing, smooth knot, goes through guides easily especially when coated with pliobond or zap a gap
