Useful knot used for search and rescue, mountaineering, climbing, boating, horse and live stock, camping, and scouting.

Uses: only used for simple applications, used to tie up packages and to start tying your shoes (sailors used to use it to roll up the sails to make better reefed sails)

Advantages: easy to untie and won’t jam.
